CUVO LED UV Lights

CUVO's UV Curing Lights are designed specifically for curing coating products from Clean Armor Technology.

3 Options to choose from:

  • H24 –12" in length
  • H36 – 18" in length
  • Model 100 – 45" in length (typically hard mounted)

When using an H24 or H36 Curing Light from CUVO, it's recommended to keep the light 12 inches or more away from the surface you are curing. Polymer coatings like Clean Armor® generate heat when curing. The amount of heat depends on a number of factors including the thickness of the coating and the UV energy applied. Using the H24 or H36 closer than 12 inches increases the energy and heat generated. This won't harm the coating but may cause the cured surface to exhibit some waviness or roughness.

As a rule of thumb, Clean Armor® coatings require a full 120 seconds of direct UV light on the area you are curing for a complete cure.

For areas larger than the light curing footprint, cure in sections. For example, when curing an area 2' x 4', coat the entire area, allow it to level out, then cure one area of 2' x 2' fully before moving to the second 2' x 2' area. Applying UV light for longer than the recommended 120 seconds will not harm the Clean Armor® coatings.

In summary:

  • "Thin is a win" Thicker coats increase the post cure work required and may not fully cure in some situations.
  • Use handheld curing lights no closer than about 1 foot for the best post cure surface. Give the curing area a full 120 seconds of UV light exposure.
  • Coat larger areas and then cure in sections to complete the job.
